I have the blue screen of death. I can't seem to get anywhere with it.
Even when I go into Safe Mode. It will come right back up with the
same error. This is part of the error:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

Then it ask to remove any new update or hardware. Then it ask me to go
into Safe Mode.

The Technical information shows
*** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x81F59A88,0XC0000006,0x0000000,0x0000000.

I feel like I'm in the movie Ground Hog Day. I can't get anywhere to
do anything without getting this error.

Would anyone know how or what I should do to clear this. I don't care
about losing any information on it now, because I don't know what is
even on it anymore. I would I clean this up and reload XP?

Three of the causes of this are cabling problems, filesystem damage and
drive failure. You have to determine which it is before you can fix it.
Remove and reseat the cable, replace the cable, attach the drive to another
system and do filesystem scans.

I'd run a RAM test and the manufacturer's harddrive diagnostic

also. boot from your cd to the repair console and try

chkdsk /r
