I dont know what is more annoying...

Im just setting up a new computer. I went to a web wite
the other day that required flash. I thought to myself it
would be really nice not to have these dumb flash popups
taking over the web page im trying to read so I
continually didnt install it. (The more flash apps
embedding on the page the more times it asks you to
install it) Anyway I then came up with the bright idea
that if i just changed my security settings for activex
controls to disable, i would never get promted to download
flash again. And great it worked! But now instead of the
anoying popup asking to download flash, I get a possibly
more annoying (due to programming stupidity) Internet
Explorer popup telling me that "Your current security
settings prevent running Active X controls on this page.
As a result, this page may not display correctly." Well
no kidding? Did i not intentionally change that setting?

Does anyone know a way to prevent dumb IE informational
pop-ups?

Thanks

Robert,
Download Flash for more total computer functionality..
To not use it is about like ordering a new Mercedes with
a Model "T" engine in it.

Sorry, it's one or the other.
On the gripping hand, you could install Flash as the nameless one suggested.

Bah, humbug.
In actual fact, the computer I'm on now doesn't have Flash and has never
asked me to install it. As near as I can determine I have never been
anywhere on a computer with Flash where the Flash applet had anything
significant.

And we are all proud of you using the computer for what
it is intended. Keep up the good work. Some of us use
it for BOTH.
