I don't have a send/receive button in Outlook?

Outlook came up with an error message, sorry for the inconvenience, send/do
not send a report. Then with a link that said I needed to download some
updates. I downloaded the updates, and now my Outlook does not have a
'send/receive' button. I had one message ready to send, so I tried to send
it, and it causes a fatal error, and calls for Outlook to shutdown. It seems
I have corrupted Outlook in some way, and can't seem to fix it, even after
running my Office Professional 2003, fix and repair disk.
