Error code: 0x800ccc0F in Outlook Express
This article explains how to handle error code 0x800ccc0F
Symptom:

When you try to send or receive any email, you get the following error
message:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop3.example.com', Server: 'pop3.example.com,
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F.

Cause:

Abrupt disconnection of Modem or network.
Incorrect mail server settings.
Incorrect anti-virus or firewall configuration. The program could be set to
block emails.

Solution:
Check your Outlook Express settings.
Check all the physical connections to your PC, modem, router (if any).
If you have a 3rd party firewall installed on your computer, check the
firewall settings and ensure that it doesn't block the emails. Check the
firewall software manual for instructions.

Important: If you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer and
if you have set the anti-virus program to scan all emails automatically,
then you need to change the settings in the anti-virus program to resolve
this issue. To do that, you might need to turn off the option where it says
"scan your email" or something like that. Refer your anti-virus manual for
