I've been having trouble receiving and send ing mail on a all my accounts
OL2000. ( The Send receive window appears to download eg 3/3 messages etc
but in the end errors with -
"3 Messages couldn't be retreived from the server This usually happens when
the connection to the server is lost due to server or network problems.
Contact your sys admin..." )
As I can pop my account successfully using other software I asumed this is
not the issue ... So I figured that the pst file may be unweildy at about 1
Gb and started to archive some off.
I archived old Sents and now I'm unable to display Sent folder contents

In your main pst-file? Are you sure you didn't archive those messages as
well? Do you have a filter applied?

Thanks Robert

In the main pst I believe I set the archives from August 05 backwards (they
appear in the Archive Folders/Sent) - I have no filters set - I've since
tried to import from the outlook.pst to either the "Sent" or a new folder
"Sent1" folders without success. I'm unable to receive or send and OL is
performing V slowly from time to time often not responding

Import from what PST, the archive? It would surprise me if it's named
"Outlook.pst". Are you sure you're referencing the correct PST?

Also, don't import. Just open the PST with File>Open>Personal Folders File.
