hyperlink to another presentation's custom show

How do I hyperlink to another presentation's custom show?

For example, I would like to hyperlink from a spot in Presentation A to
Presentation B's custom show 2 (I need to skip some slides in Presentation
B).

Does this require a macro?

I believe in presentation B, there should be a slide X with button that links
to the custom show? So in Presentation A, hyperlink to Slide X.

tohlz,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, your method does work (add a link in
Presentation B to the custom show).

This method requires the user to click two links (the link in Presentation A
and a second link in Presentation B). Is there any way to do it with one
link (one click)?

See if you are comfortable with this:
On Presentation B, instead of adding a button which when clicked, hyperlink
to the custom show, remove the button.
Now, add a rectangle that covers the entire slide.
Double click on the rectangle, set fill color to 99%. Line color to no line.
Click Ok.
Right click on the invisible autoshape, select Action Settings.
Select Mouse Over tab, set it Hyperlink to the custom show.

To make the mouse over works,
Click Add Effect > Entrance > Appear.
Set the Start from "On Click" to "After Previous".
Double click on the added effect.
Select Timing tab, set delay to 0.1 seconds.
Click Ok.
Save the presentation.

So here's how it works: From presentation A, you click on the link to
presentation B's Slide X. The invisible autoshape on slide x will appear and
link you automatically to the custom show.

Or a simpler alternative: Since you want to skip certain slides in
Presentation B, right click on the slide thumbnails, select Hide Slides.

tohlz,

The invisible box works like a charm! Very clever.

Hiding the slides is not an option in this case.

Thanks for your help.
Case closed.
