Custom Show - Ending the loop

G

Guest

I have a custom show that links to a main presentation. I have set up the
whole presentation as a loop which solved an earlier problem I had. For
example the main presentation has slides MS1 to MS4 when I get to MS2 there
is a link to the Custom show slides CS1 to CS3 on slide CS3 I have a
hyperlink back to MS2.

My problem now is that the hyperlink back to MS2 works initially but any
further click of the mouse progresses back into the Custom show slides and
not onto MS3.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong
Best regards
Dave

By clicking on the mouse, is it through a hyperlink or just normal mouse click?

If it is through hyperlink, you can change the link to MS3.

If it is through normal mouse click, try this:
under the slide thumbnail,
select CS1 - CS3.
Right click on the slides, then select hide slide.
By hiding the slides, the slides will only be shown if you link to it and
not through normal mouse click.

See if this helps.
If problem still persist, feel free to send me a copy to

When you hyperlink to the custom show; doesn't it give you an option to show
and return? Opting for this will return the slide show to the originating
slide when the custom show completes.

It is a normal mouse click.

I tried as you suggested below and it did not work. I will send you an
equivalent example of the problem. Thank you.

I tried this and it did not work. I think there is a conflict between
setting the presentation to loop and then opting out of the custom show back
to the main presentation when required.

DaveyC4S,
At CS3, you will need to set hyperlink as end show instead of linking it
back to MS2.
Hope it helps.

Apologies I was hasty in my previous reply. I have conferred with tohlz
over e-mail and he has seen through my problem after I sent him an example.

Using your suggestion in combination with 'End Show' hyperlinks (as
suggested by tohlz previously) rather than trying to hyperlink back to the
original slide in the Main presentation has solved the problem.

Many thanks for your help
Dave
