hyperlink problem after installing security patches

installed security patch on system running IE 5.01 sp3,
afterward, hyperlinks in My Computer pointing to My
Computer, My Documents, and My Network Places don't work.
They give an error:

CAnnot find 'file:///::%7b450d8fba-ad25-11d0-98a8-
0800361b1103%7d'. Make sure the path or Internet address
is correct.
