Hyperlink or Marco for Generating an Email from a form

I have tried the insert hyperlink and get an error message: "Unable to open
"emailed address". Cannot open the specified file.

the help file says: To test the link in a form or report, right-click the
label, point to Hyperlink on the shortcut menu, and then click Open.
Microsoft Access opens your mail program and creates a new message, with the
address and subject filled in.

When I right click on the hyperlink the shortcut menu doesn't have a
hyperlink option.

I also tried creating a marco but can't figure out what I am supposed to put
in the "part" section of the function :HyperlinkPart («hyperlink», «part»)

Hi Kim,

Are you trying to open an existing email or send a new one? TO send one, use
the Docmd.SendObject function. To open one is quite a bit more complex, as
your app has to be able to "talk" to your email application.

Susan...is there a way to add the value of a field to the subject of the
email? I tried adding the field name within [ ] but it appears to just be a
text field on the macro page.

Also, before you responded I found Article ID : 209948 on the knowledge base
and it works great, except for the fact that it sends 3 duplicate emails
instead of 1...any idea why?
