Hyperlink issue

I've created a presentation with several hyperlinks in Powerpoint 2003. The
links open other presentations. When trying to run this presentation on a Mac
(powerpoint X) some of the hyperlinks don't work. I get a message saying that
the file cannot be opened. Even if I remove and redirect the hyperlink, I
still get the error message. Has anybody seen this? Is there a solution?

First thing to check: can you in fact open the files on Mac PPTX?

For each linked file, try opening the file by doubleclicking it.

Yes, the linked presentations work perfectly when opened directly from the
documents folder.

OK, in case the original links are corrupted in some way, open the file on the mac
and try adding a new shape, a rectangle or whatever. Add a link to one of your
files and see if that works.
