Hyperlink in Outlook

I am surprized to see that Outlook 2000 or 2003 does not allow you to browse
for a file you want to hyperlink to.
Instead it only allows you to type the filename and path, which is really
in-convenient for people to follow.
Does anyone know fastest way to hyperling a file name in a network drive?
Thanks

I know that.
My question was not "How to insert hyperlink"
The question is "Why it doesn't allow you to browse to a file name, and
create hyperlink to a file, Rather then typing the whole thing"
Thanks

You haven't tried my suggestion; with Word as the e-mail editor you DO get a
browse option and lots more.

These options are disabled in Tools-->Options--Mail Format tab, how can I
enable it?

We use Word 2000, outlook 2003

Then you can't; Word and Outlook must be the same version for this to
function.
