hyper-threading in xp home

After upgrading my system to P4 2.4(800) with
hyperthreading my XP os does not recognize the cpu as an
HT cpu. Is there anyway to fix this without reinstalling
the XP?

Hello

Two things to address
1. You may have to do a re-install install
2. Or go inot your system BIOS and make sure that Hyperthreading is
Enabled

Thought I'd just add this link to help clarify the situation. It comes from
a response, by Nicholas, to a query later in this newsgroup concerning a
post about hyperthreading in XP Home.

In short, both XP Home and XP Pro support hyperthreading - but only XP Pro
supports physically separate processors.
