HP psc1210 re-installation.

I have difficulty reinstalling psc1210, XP vers 2.0 from provided CD. I
used HP AIO scrubber and printer/scanner works fine but HP Director
which I use for estimated ink level does not run. Are there some
registry entries I should change so the software thinks this is the
first installation? Step by step sequence needed.

The problem was caused by the M.S. upgrade to IE-7 and required the
patch file CIT207355-HPCOM-PATCH-v8.exe. HP Director again works OK.
