According to everything I can find Hp is not going too provide a driver for this printer so that it will work with Vista. I have a very good printer and not wanting to scrap it I was wondering if anyone had a fix? A true fix.

Simple ... if you want to live in yesterday, don't instal Vista.

PS, there is NO fix if HP do not write new drivers for an old printer. They do make 'em last though. :D

Mucks is right I'm afraid, there's no cure.

Such is the camaraderie between HP and Microsoft.

You really think either of them give a damn about compatibility?

Wrong, they just want your money.

I guess I was lucky, HP did, at least, cobble together a basic Vista driver for my HP Photosmart 7960 (2006) albeit it stripped of the more advanced features available for Xp and even, dare I say it - Linux.

I'm using Vista, I like it, but - it's flawed and MS are truly taking the rise.
