HP OfficeJet T45 compatability

My OfficeJet T45 all in one won't work with Windows XP. I've tried updated drivers and dozens of other solutions--to no avail. I hear XP will let you determine a Win 95 or 98 environment for hardware that will work no other way. Is that true? If so, how do I do it?

Thanks for your reply. It just won't work. If I launch the OfficeJet Manager application, it changes the screen resolution and if I try to use the scanner function it says "not communicating with printer." Also, it disables my Lexmark printer which is on a USB port.
Do you know anything about the Win 95/98 environment?

If you can't find a workaround via the manufacturer forums, etc. another
measure would be to use VPC 2004 to run it. Drastic, but doable.

Odd. We have a new (for us) T45 that we connected to a W2K machine. Bought
the sucker for $27 on Ebay (A T45 is a color inkjet
printer/fax/copier/scanner. We use it primarily as a fax machine and
occassional printer, but it does make quite adequate color copies).

HP software wouldn't load, but I didn't investigate why since I couldn't
imagine any need for their stuff.

Our XP machines seem to print to the T45 - over the network - without
difficulty.

Maybe if you just ignore the problem - like we did - everything will work?
