HP DeskJet 940C with Win XP

I recently installed Win XP Pro.
Now my Hp DeskJet 940c printer is detected, but the
drivers don't load/work. The ones from the web site and
cd don't help. The Wizard keeps saying it can't find
something called RCS (or something similar).
Any suggestions?

This sounds like the spooler is not running. The spooler service is
dependent on the RPC service. Is the RPC service
running?

There is a virus around called the BlasterWorm that kills the RPC service.
Make sure you have the patches from MS, then restart the services and
attempt to add the printer again.
