HP 660c error on windows xp

I can't install my hp 660c printer on a new installed
Windows XP desktop. Windows see's the printer and goes to
installation, but, I get an error right away saying
the "spooler subsystem application encountered an error".
The installation continues but bombs our with an error RPC
server is Unavailable.

Any help?????? Thanks
