hp 1210 deleted, can't reinstall, tried cleaning drivers

When I try to reinstall a deleted HP 1210psc, I get the
error that "The RPC Server is unavailable". I have since
been told to try cleaning the printer driver, which I
did. I get the same message, however. It also seems
that the spooler is not running.

Go into the Control Panel and click on Admin Tools. Now click on Services.

Scroll down until you see the entry Remote Procedure Call.... under Status,
is it started?

In fact it is. However I have resolved this issue. I
had an old printer, a Lexmark X63. I had at one point
disabled this driver and its' processes, but it turns out
that the spooler was dependent on it, and for some reason
that was stopping the RPC. I guess it only became a
problem when the new printer had been deleted. I have
simply restarted the ridiculous lexmark thing and the HP
installs and works fine. Thanks for the help.
