How to use manual certificate selection for 802.1x client configur

I am configuraing my 802.1x client on Windows XP Pro SP2 and I do not want to
use the "Simple certificate selection" option but would like to
select/enforce a particular certificate.
How to use manual certificate selection for 802.1x client configuration ?
are there any API's that I could use to configure this programatically ?
