How to turn off default button?

B

brett

It seems every time a popup occurs, my curious little mouse immediately
flies over there and lands on top of the OK button. AVG does an update
(which has an OK button), there goes the mouse. Cookie popup prompt
from IE, mouse takes off running. I have two monitors and use an
expanded desktop so it's especially annoying to chase the mouse down
across two monitors.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature off? (Got a mouse trap? :)

Thanks,
Brett

Open Mouse in the Control Panel and go to the Pointer Options tab. In the
"Snap To" section remove the check from "Automatically move pointer to the
default button in a dialog box".

Open Control Panel, select the "Mouse" applet. Click the "Pointer
Options" tab. Remove the check from the box in the "Snap To" section
in the middle of the box.
