How to switch OFF AutoCorrection in Contacts?

Guest

Normally, Outlook Contacts will autocorrect name entries into entries with
Starting Capitals (John Doe in stead of john doe). I need to switch OFF this
"feature", notably for MiddleName. I know it can be done but would like to
know how.

Any ideas?

Go into Tools | Options and click the Spelling tab, then the AutoCorrect
Options button.

Thank you but, No, this feature is not switched off by the AutoCorrect
button. After unchecking all options in AutoCorrect this "feature" is still
on. Stiil, I know it can be switched off, or at least it could in the past.
Using OL 2002 now.

How did you do it in older versions of Outlook?

In Ol2003 when you use mixed case it doesn't capitalize, but if you use all
lower it does.

Thank you, Diane. It was the IT-dept of the company I was with who managed to
do this in OL2000. I don't have any details, they may have done it on the
Exchange level. I find OL2002 will capitalize all names, titles, etc., when
the first character is small.
Why is this relevant? In some European cultures there's a difference between
"dr", "Dr" and "Dr.". Also, in my country (Netherlands) we often use
MiddleName for certain insertions between FirstName and LastName. Such
insertions are very standard in our language and they will be spelled
strictly lower case.
I hope you can find another solution. Thanks for your kind attention.
