I'm new here, and would appreciate some help with my problem. I'm writing up my thesis at the moment, and have just started having issues where Word is counting hidden reference text for an Endnote citation as part of a word count.
I am using Word 2010 and Endnote X5.
I.e. a paragraph that, when highlighted, has 75 words; when I also highlight the reference number at the end of the paragraph; that word count jumps to 344. I would like to include the reference numbers in my word count, but exclude this extra data as it is throwing my word count out massively.
