How to save .zip files (IE6 opens them)

Operating in the new XP Home SP2 . . . First download of
a zip file went OK - saved to hard drive as intended.
Subsequent ones opened automatically and did not give me
the opportunity to save them. I can right-click and
select save-link-as, but this is a little tedious -

What mechanism is there to reset the appropriate IE6 zip
file "setting" back to "save as"?

Thanks -

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.

Odd that SP2's Information Bar and/or Attachment Manager didn't still
intervene on subsequent downloads of zip files:

Thanks . . . I'd already checked this out (suggested in a Microsoft
Knowledge Base article). The "confirm open after download" box was
already checked and is still checked.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Not sure what either the "Information Bar" and "Attachment Manager"
are - but it does appear that this behavior is not by design and is
certainly different from pre-SP2 versions.

I believe it *is* by design and yes, it is different from IE6
