How to run the Autoruns Program

I just downloaded the Autoruns program. The installer did not create an icon
on my desktop, and I can not find the program using Search. How do I run the
Autoruns program?

What "Autorun program"?

It doesn't install or create an icon. It runs as a standalone executable.
You download it to a file you want to keep it in. Double Click on the
executable every time you want to use it. You could put a shortcut on your
desktop.

It doesn't install itself, you have to manually install it. Do the
following:

- Create a folder called "Autoruns" somewhere (could be in c:\program
files, but can be anywhere)
- Open Autoruns.zip by double clicking on it
- Move the files from the Utoruns.zip file to the folder "Autoruns"
- To start Autoruns, open the "Autoruns" folder and double click on
Autoruns.exe
- To create a shortcut, In the Autoruns folder, right click on
Autoruns.exe and choose Create Shortcut, move the shortcut to your
desktop or start menu or wherever you want.

Hi Kral,

The installer asks where to extract to, so you should have directed it
to a specific location where you will remember it (maybe
c:\utils\Autoruns). It then will ask to "open" the folder where it was
installed. You can then right click on the file "autoruns.exe" and
select Send To Desktop (create shortcut).
