How to restore account privileges on XP?

I have a laptop setup by our tech guy and want to know how to restore administrator-like privilges on my account.

I accidentally restricted my account from administrator type to limited privileges

I asked my tech guy at the office wha the "Administrator" password is. He said there is no "administrator" account. Is this possible. My login name is "PHOTO". That is all that is displayed on the log in screen. If I am the only account holder how could I demote my admin status. and how do i get it back

Is this computer your property, or that of your employer?

If the latter, leave it alone. Your statement, "I accidentally
restricted my account from administrator type to limited privileges."
leads me to conclude that you really shouldn't have administrative
privileges; you apparently lack the fundamental skills, knowledge, and
experience to use elevated privileges safely. Your asking if the
"tech guy" is correct when he claims that there is no Administrator
account (which _cannot_ be deleted) only confirms my conclusion.
Additionally,attempting to circumvent company computer usage and
security policies is a good way to get yourself terminated "for
cause," which makes you ineligible for unemployment benefits in many
jurisdictions.

If the former, simply log in using the built-in Administrator
account and modify the desired account. But, for your own sake, learn
what you're doing _before_ you start using elevated privileges on a
daily basis.
