administrator privileges ?

Hi, thank you in advance for helping me. The problem is: How do you make a
administrator account, without reinstalling Windows XP Media Center 2005?? I
would like to get rid of McAfee Security Center, and put Windows Live One
Care on my computer. But it says, you need administrator privileges, which I
didn't put on this computer. Can you please help. Thank you again.

They are there - you need to log on as the actual "administrator".

Thank you for answering the question. But don't know too much about
computers. Please how do I logon on to administrator? Where is it?? Tried
doing a search, but it came up with 10 when I stop it. Thanks again for your
help.

Hi Diane,

To locate the account you are logged onto, click on the Start Button. The
name of the account will appear at the top.

Now click on the Start Button Control Panel then click on User Accounts. The
account type will appear next to the account name. Is it a an Administrator
account?
