How to Reset Display Properties?

Mark Williams

At some point I believe something got changed in Display Properties Advanced
Appearance window. Some programs that I run, the font is too big be seen in
the space provided. I have confirmed the Display Properties Appearance is
set to Windows XP style with Normal font size. I have also tried changing a
number of things in Advanced Appearance, but to no avail. I also confirmed
DPI setting is normal.

Is there a way to reset these settings back to the default? Other ideas?

Thankyou mark for a solution to at least accessing the Tabs in my display
properties. As can be seen a lot of people seem to be having this problem
where the display only shows the Theme tab and not the other tabs e.g
screensaver ,Display etc.
I went into my display and changed my theme to classic which brought up the
missing tabs....Great...I then had access to all tabs to change at will. I
then went back to my XP theme and mysteriously all the tabs were there also.
They could also be changed e.g screensaver, display etc BUT
even though I applied the setting and ok'ed it after I went out of display
and came back -GUESS WHAT it only showed theme again. Bugger.

At least mate I have a way of changing my settings by changing the theme
temporarily it is a start... Thank you again.

The fix at Kellys corner does not work - at least for me. Will just change my
theme as mentioned above. To simple really and doesn't involve any drama's.
