How To Reset Default Home Page

M

MacKenrick

I was able to get rid of the parasite that had hijacked my home page using
CWShredder as suggested by Ramesh but none of the resources he listed
described how to actually reset the Default Home Page. Right now if I
select the Default only question marks show up in the address block like
this: ?? . Is there a way of resetting the Default Home Page? Thanks
for the help. Mac

PS: I know that I can change my Home Page to MSN.com using the Options menu
and selecting "Use
Current". I want to know if I can change the Default Home Page.

If you are running IE just go to the page you want as your homepage, then click tools/internet options/ and there at "homepage", click "use current"

Ramesh [MVP]

Open IE > Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Reset Web Settings [also Homepage]

This should reset "Default_Page_URL" and Start Page [The actual homepage you set] in registry.
