How to remove windows messenger?

I have an old computer that I want to sell to a neighbor. It has
MSN's Window's Messenger 4.7 (4.7.3001), from 2004. If I start it up,
it immediately logs me in, and I can't find any way to make it start
up with no email address or password, despite not checking where it
asks if you want it to remember your password. I also noticed that
it's not listed in add/remove programs, so I can't do that either.
How do I either delete the program or just my personal information
(and of course I don't want it to sign me in automatically?)

Thanks.

Well, if you really are selling BOTH the hardware and software (i.e.,
Windows) with the old computer then you wipe the hard drive
(www.killdisk.com) and include the installation media for Windows in
the sale so the new owner can do their own ***FRESH*** install of
Windows without all your leftover junk, orphaned registry entries or
files, misconfigured setups, and perhaps loads of illegal software.
Otherwise, if you don't provide the install media, all you are giving
the buyer is hardware that includes a polluted hard disk. If it was
an OEM version of Windows, and since an OEM version is licensed only
to the first computer on which it is installed, you will be required
to surrender the installation media for that OEM version. If you are
keeping a retail version but leaving it installed on the old computer,
you are selling off a pirated copy of Windows and lying to the buyer
as to what they will receive in the sale.

Click Start, then Run, and paste the following line into the Run box:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Bye-Bye Windows Messenger!

As an added bonus, this will remove NetMeeting:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
%windir%\inf\msnetmtg.inf,NetMtg.Remove
