how to remove installed Active X

I wonder if anyone can tell me how to remove installed Active X on WinXP SP2?
It's not in ADD/Remove programs, or Windows\downloaded program files or
downloaded installations. I just runned an .exe file and now I cannot find it
any where and cannot uninstall it (I thought it might be an Active X file).
Many thanks.

XP SP2 allows users to manage add-ons including ActiveX in Internet Explorer
where you can go to tools - manage add-ons where you view, enable, and
disable ActiveX and disable. You can also use SpyBot Search and Destroy
[free download] to view ActiveX and remove those you do not want as
described in article in the link below. --- Steve

If you can identify the .ocx file with IE add-ons then search for it and
delete it if you no longer want it. There is a free utility called Active
XCavator that may help in finding ActiveX but be very careful with it to
make sure you do not delete anything you need. Checking the publisher name
may help in making that decision. You can use RegSeeker to clean up the
registry to remove entries no loner associated with a program and do other
handy things with the registry.--- Steve

I found it in I.E. add-ons but cannot remove it. SpyBot Search and Destroy
cannot even detect it. It can only find ActiveX in Downloaded Program
Files.
I've also found its SCID in HK_Classes_Roots but don't know how to remove
it
there. Thanks.
