how to reinstall movie maker & mpeg 2 files not playing in wmm

my movie maker is giving trouble since i installed adorage effects...
now uninstalled that, but problem is not resolving...
should i reinstall entire windows xp sp 2??
what are the other ways to get my movie maker work correctly....?
anoyher problem is mpeg 2 files not playing in movie maker, though they are
playing in windows media player

Could you provide more details about the issue?

And yes...you can reinstall SP2...but that may not
solve the problem.

i tried installing sp2 but its not resolved my problem... and problem even got worse...

now even am unable to import 2 videos at a time.... one is replacing the
other, please do help me this time also...and thanks 4 ur response!!!
