I have installed windows 2k server(with sp3, and many sp4 patches), and it works fine!

but one day ago, i'm try to open the SP3 of MS SQL Server 2000, and clicked on a .bat file,
which started the silent installation of SQL SP3, and i can not interrupt it, so before it finished the
install process, I shutdown the computer mannully.

when I reboot the system, the explore, IE, and other thing works fine,
execpt the RAS service, I can not start the Routing and Remote Access Service in the Service controller,

I have tried to use the system disk, booted from CD, and choose repair the OS, the reinstall win2k SP3,

It is no useful, the RAS service can not start.........

I do not want reinstall the whole system, there are so many application software,
maybe need one day to set it up............

so how to solve this trouble?
could somebody give me a hint?

Lesson one: never interrupt any installation procedure.
What shutdown did you do? Switching the machine off or a Windows
Shutdown?
If it was a powerdown, much can be corrupted in Windows and/or
SQL.
Why did you decide to interrupt MS-SQL 2000 SP3 installation?
This SP3 is quite mandatory, e.g to be protected against the
Slammer.

My guess to try to fix this:
Re-nstall MS-SQL and apply MS-SQL SP3.
