how to recover items deleted from history

Does anyone know if it is possible to check websites visited, that are
no longer showing in the history window because they have been deleted?

Really ... having a peek inside index.dat can be fruitful, even though
Windows XP tries really hard to hide this file now ... wonder why ?

Jenn, it really depends on why you need to know this. Yes, there are
ways of viewing index.dat but there are also ways of seeing what has
been done on a computer at a forensics level. If you want more
information, then tell us your end goal.

If the file was stored in a history and then erased it is still
possible to restore it using data recovery tools. Among them I can pose
out Active@ Undelete and Uneraser (DOS). they never failed me before
and were always able to restore erased info. That should definately
help you.
