is there a way to prevent users from deleting items in outlook email? i want
to be able to view a users inbox, sent items, outbox, etc. in order to
monitor employee activity.

Hello - I'm not aware of a way to do this in Outlook, they are gone
once they are deleted...

There are several email management products available that address this
very issue. Basically with the correct permissions you have access to
the users Inbox, Sent Items, Pending Messages, etc. These are great
tools to not only monitor employee activity but ensure company email
guidelines are met.

Ones to look at would be RightNow, Talisma, eGain, and VisNetic
MailFlow. Price varies so do your research. A Google search will
produce their web sites.
