How to open Win Explorer with folder col as default.

Explorer|Tools|Folder Options|View, then "Like Current Folder". Depending on
your likings, you may also need to check or uncheck "Remember each folder's
view settings"

Dear Dave,

Thanks for responding; tried it and it didn't work. Am using win2k on
desktop. Recall one of you telling me several years back how to add a slash
behind a command to open the old 98SE and ME so that it would different
defaults to change the order of opening. Had hoped something like that would
be offered. I had already tried this solution but nevertheless printed out
your instructions and tried it again. Same result after rebooting. Old
defaults unchanged and had to click on 'folders' to get it to open them. If
no other suggestions, Thanks anyway for I learn a lot from you fellows!

You're quest is very vague. Try editing the shortcut's "Target" to read;
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,C:\
Where C:\ is the drive or directory you wish to expand.
