How to obtain hotfix from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 834005?

M

Mike Fields

My client is experiencing the problem detailed in the
aforementioned MS Knowledge Base article and I'd like to
obtain a copy of the hotfix but would prefer not to have
to pay MS to direct me to the location of the hotfix.
Has anyone had any experience with this hotfix? Can you
vouche for its functionality and/or steer me to the fix?

Thanks.

/Mike

There is no charge for hotfixes. Call 1-800-936-4900 (press 3 for hotfixes)
and tell them you're calling to obtain the hotfix described in KB [number]
and they should fix you right up.

Microsoft does not charge for the delivery of Hotfixes. When you speak to
the Customer Service Representative, tell them you are requesting a Hotfix.

By that same token, Microsoft Support Engineers do not work cases where a
Hotfix was delivered, beyond delivery of the Hotfix. If the issue isn't
addressed by the hotfix, it is unrelated and a new issue is warranted.'
