How to manually uninstall a second windos xp (corrupted) in a disk

I had to install a new windos xp in a desktop that would not start and would
not allow to use the recovery console.

Now I have two operating systems: the new xp installation and the old xp
installation, and every time I start up I have to chose which one I want to
use to startup my comp. Apart from this, the old windows installation holds
siginificant space in the disk (together with the program files that had been
installed in that windows.)

Now I would like to manually delete de old windows xp and the files related
to that installation to recover the space in the disk.

I am guessing that if I delete the old C:\windows directory, this will do
part of the trick. But I would like to kno what other files need to be or
can be deleted.

The new windows was installed in a directory called C:\windows2

Thanks for any help received.
