How to make last slide stay on the screen

I am using PowerPoint 2003. I would like to make the last slide in my
presentations stay on the screen, rather than have the screen go black after
the last slide. Is this possible?

Yes, check the transition setting. Select/go to the last slide, go to Slide
Show > Slide Transitions and in the Slide Transition pane, set the slide to
transition on mouse click. Now when you play the presentation, the last slide
will remain until you click on it.
