how to loop one slide until a mouse click

I'm needing to loop one slide with multiple animation features on it. The
slide will loop until I click on the mouse and the slide show will progress
from there.

One way is to use Custom Shows.
First, click Slide Show > Set Up Show.
Put a checkmark to Loop continuously until 'Esc'.
Click Ok.
Now, Click Slide Show > Custom Shows.
Click New.
Select the slide you are looping, click Add.
Click Ok and Close.
Click on the slide you are looping.
Click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under Advance slide, put a checkmark to Automatically After. This will allow
the slide to loop automatically.
Do NOT Apply to all slides.
You will need to insert a new slide just before the slide you are looping.
On the new slide, insert an action button.
Set the hyperlink to the custom show you have created.
Put a checkmark on "Show and Return".
Ok your way out.

Now, view the slide show.
If you click on the action button, you will go into the custom show, which
will loop until you press the esc key to continue with the rest of the slides.

As Tohlz said. This is just a slight different take on the idea.
Create two custom shows "loop" (one slide) and "mainshow". On the loop slide
place a button > hyperlink to custom show mainshow (not show & return) set
auto advance for this slide only

In set up show loop until esc and show slides custom show > loop

This way the loop will start automatically when you start the slide show and
play until you click the button.

Note that either way the main show will also loop unless you have an end
show button at the end.
