I need to connect to another user's computer via "Remote Desktop Connection"
we both are running XP SP2. My ISP is Comcast and the other user's is Cox.
How can I deternin the remote users computer name that I must use to

Thanks,

Have the other user got to web site www.whatismyip.com. Then, use the
IP address as the Remote Desktop Connection "host" name.

If you are going to use this type of connection on a regular basis,
sign up for a "free" dynamic DNS entry name @ www.dyndns,org. Then, by
setting up the dynamic DNS entry "auto-update" client (available from
the dyndns.org web site also,) you can then always access the "remote"
system by name (ex: remotepc.dyndns.org.)

I guess you could look in the system properties in the tab that says
computer name.

Ask him, perhaps? And don't forget to get his IP address, as well.
