How to get Win Explorer to show .mpg thumbnails

I searched the forums without luck. Anyone know how to get Windows explorer
to show the thumbnails for .mpg files? When I pull my family videos in from
my Sony DVD handycam, they associate with WMP, but I see no thumbnails. It
makes it a nightmare to organize what I have.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I tried that based on checking other
threads on this site. It didn't work. All I see is that icon for WMP that
looks like a play button. Note these are files are recorded with my Sony
DCR-DVD403.
