Close Access.

The ldb file is a temporary file used in record locking, and is normal and
necessary whilst Access is open.

You can't stop that file from being created. It will be there as long
as the database is open. If it stays there after the database is
closed, you probably have a problem with the file permissions in the
directory the database is in. Are you able to delete the file manually?

P.S. If 'fkg ldb' means what I think it does, kindly refrain from using
it, if you expect civil replies.

The ldb file is the temporary locking file that is created and destroyed
with every Access session. If the ldb file lingers after an Access session,
it means that you have crashed, or otherwise exited incorrectly.

You can keep it from being created by opening the file exclusively, or by
changing Windows permissions to disallow file creation. That also keeps
anyone else from editing the data during your session.
