How to get rid of the admin privileges

Is there a way to get rid of the admin privileges so that I can do
whatever I wish in my own machine. Is it possible to do it for good or
at least temporarily. This annoyance is only comparable with the
ubiquitous blue screen on previous Windows.

if your log-in belongs to the Administrator group then you *CAN* do anything
you like on your own machine......but so can anyone else who can access
your machine, whether physically or online.....

What can't you do now while logged on to an account that's a member of the
Administrator group? Are you talking about XP, or do you mean Vista?

Not really. I'm the administrator. It's my own local machine and nobody
else use it. I need to install an Intel WinXP software and the admin
restriction ask me for privileges that obviously I DO have. Intel
discontinued the associated hardware (marketing policy, not malfunction)
and hence the support.
However that's irrelevant. The question is how to get rid of the admin
limitation.

Have you tried logging in as The Administrator?
and what's the application you are trying to install?

Years ago I installed a wireless network on my XP. It worked okay for a
couple of years. Since the machine came with XP installed I purchased
the last Windows XP SP2 reformatted and installed. Now I can't install
the wireless. I googled the problem and found that many people have the
same problem. That's why I wish to completely disable the admin.
Possible solutions I wish to avoid: 1. Find and purchase an old
WindowsXP. 2. Hack the installation program in order to bypass the dialog.

I don't know what you mean by "disable the admin". XP uses NT permissions
and access rights and you CAN'T "disable" the admin.
What do you mean by "can't install the wireless"? Can you be more specific?
(I have a Toshiba Tecra that originally came with W98 - I have XP SP2 on it
and the wireless works fine....)
