How to filter a view by birthday OR anniversary this month?

I am using Outlook 2007.

I send out birthday cards and anniversary letters by hand, so I just need to
track them. I don't want them on my calendar, and I don't want a reminder. I
just want to be able at the first of every month to pull up a list of
birthdays or anniversaries that occur in that month, print it out, then
hand-address cards to mail.

I am trying to create a view that will show me any birthdays OR
anniversaries that in a particular month.

I am loading all birthdays and anniversaries as occurring in 1900. So then
all the months will sort out correctly since they occur in the same year.

I can run a filter for birthdays that occur "this month" and I can get that
list. But when I add another filter for anniversaries that occur this month,
my list goes blank unless my contact has a birthday AND an anniversary this
month.

So long explanation for my simple question - how do I filter for birthdays
OR anniversaries this month?

BONUS QUESTION - If anyone can also figure out how I can leave the year in
place, and then still be able to sort by birthdays OR anniversaries that
occur in a particular month, and ignore the year, I will be eternally
grateful!
