How to edit Photo Album Template

R

Roger

I would like to edit the template Powerpoint 2003 Insert Photo Album uses to
include macros when the photo album is created.

I can add the macros from another template AFTER Insert Photo Album runs,
but I cannot get it to include these when it builds the photo album.

Where is the template stored (Windows XP Pro) and how do I do this?

Thanks, Roger

It sounds like you would be much happier with the Image Importer Wizard than
with PowerPoint's included Photo Album. The IIW allows much more flexibility
in what goes on the slides where and how. For more information, see Shyam's
site:

(I am not associated with the product. I am just a very satisfied customer
of said product.)

Thanks
But importing images is not my problem - I need to run macros relating to
Action Buttons during a slide show. There is no mention of this on the site
you mentioned.

Sorry Roger, I misunderstood. I thought you were looking for a way to
create the photo pages with a predefined template (automatically). I thought
you were looking to add the images to a pre-defined template that contained
the action buttons already. This the Image Importer Wizard will do.

If you are using the Photo Album option, you will need to build your slides
and then add the template to the slides.

The best solution I can offer is to add the action buttons to a master slide
and create a template from that master slide. The buttons will then appear
on each slide which uses that template without your having to add them by
hand to each slide.

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for. The
macros would have to be added to the presentation after it was created
using the Photo Album feature.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
