How to do a new clean install of Windows XP over an old OS

hi mike...

if you want to do a brand new install of windows xp, and
also wipe your hard drive clean of all files and
programs, this is what you should do.

1- go into BIOS setup and find the place where it gives
you the opportunity to change the boot order of your
drives. make CD your first choice
2- put windows xp cd in the cd drive and restart your
computer.
3- when it comes up, choose to do a brand new install,
and a full ntfs format. -- that will erase everything
that was previously on your hard drive... then will
format it in preparation to install windows.

Don't forget.... after the install is finished... Go back
into your BIOS setup and change the boot order back to
the way it was.... (probably HD0, then CDrom, then floppy)

Good luck,
Nancy
