How to disable Firewall?

I am unable to disable firewall like the help page says. It says to right
click network connection but my connection shows a lock on it and i cant
view properties to disable firewall. How do I get my connection unlocked?

If this is the Windows Firewall, go to the Windows Security Center in
Control Panel and disable it there. If this is a third-party firewall,
follow the instructions specific to the firewall in question.

What type of connection is it?

Some connections, like an AOL dial-up connection, don't allow you to
access their properties.

I know exacticaly what you mean. Right chick on the local area network, left
chick on properties, left click the advance button, click on settings for
firewall and turn it off from there. i don't know if that will solve your
problem, but it will get rid of the pad lock
