How to delete Shell Extensions

Hello. I have a WinXP SP1 system. Oftentimes, when I install a new
program, that program adds a shell extension (context menu handlers)
to the registry. So when I right-click on a related file, these
annoying items appear. Anyone know how to permanently disable/delete
these items? Thanks in advance.

Newsservers take time sones into account and yours is set incorrectly if you
really are in asia. "Asia" would probably be +0400 thru +1200.

Often those entries become "orphaned" even after you uninstall the program.
There are instructions on how to edit the registry manually in this case but
I have not done it in a while. The Shell Extensions Viewer mentioned in
previous posts is the best tool but it does not work for all items in my
experience. I have placed a shortcut on my desktop to Shell Ext. Viewer.
