To determine if this is caused by a browser extension (also loads with
explorer.exe processes), disable the tool bands and Browser Helper Objects:

1. Click Start, Run, type Control Inetcpl.cpl.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.

Open Control Panel, or folder window and observe the behavior. If the
problem persist, undo the above setting. Try ShellExView to determine if a
shell extension is causing the problem.

Using ShellExView, disable all the third-party extensions (non-Microsoft),
and restart.

I am able to access control panel, but that is about it. Suddenly when I try
to make any changes being a screen saver or any sort of adjustment in
Control Panel as soon as I attempt to make a change it freezes up and sends
and error message to Microsoft and then closes. I have gone to Kelley's
Corner, and many other sites and cannot find and answer. I would appreciate
any help what so ever.
