How To Create New Email link on Quicklaunch Bar

D

Dave R.

I have just upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2007 and one thing I am
really missing is the Office Shortcut Bar that was formally in the upper
right hand corner of the screen.

The aspect I really miss is the ability to have a link on the Shortcut Bar
to create a new email message. The link on the bar was always available so I
didn't have to maximize Outlook and now go to the Mail tab.

Is there a way that I can add the same "Create New Email Message" link on
the Windows XP Quicklaunch bar at the bottom of the screen?

Thanks in advance,

Dave R.

Yes. Create a shortcut whose target is:

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12\outlook.exe" /c ipm.note
